Event Details

Welcome to the First Annual Fundraising Gala to support the efforts of the Sheridan Shore Sailing School. Our Sailing School is a 501c3 tax exempt charity. Program fees do not cover our annual expenses. All proceeds from the event go to support the mission and participants of the Sheridan Shore Sailing School and our partners at Loyola Academy Sailing Club. The featured speaker at the event will be Gary Jobson - world famous sailor, author, and tactician for the 1977 Americas Cup Team. The event will include a slide show, video, action, raffle, food, beverage, and much more! Help support your local youth sailing programs.

Adaptive Adventures Kayak Chicago Program



This exciting new community partnership between Kayak Chicago and Adaptive Adventures will combine the strengths of both organizations to create expanded paddling opportunities and knowledge for individuals with disabilities and their families. Kayak Chicago is a top provider of instruction, group outings, and equipment throughout the Chicago area. Adaptive Adventures is a national disabled sports and recreation organization primarily focusing on progressive outdoor sports opportunities for individuals with physical disabilities. Kayak Chicago founder, Dave Olson has been working with people of all abilities for more than a decade. His vast experience and commitment to paddling for ALL is the driving force behind this new effort. In addition to providing local and regional on water programing, the Kayak Chicago Adaptive Adventures Paddling Program will seek to be an information and education resource for paddlers of all abilities worldwide.
